CT Sees Less Snow Than What Was Expected Saturday

On Saturday, The Potential for a Significant Winter Storm was in the air For Western CT.. and a Minor Snow Storm for Central CT... Although these did not verify, On Thursday Meteorologists starting Letting the public know to plan for the Potential for Yet another Winter Storm across Connecticut and Southern New England... On Friday, Meteorologists Across MANY News Stations Issued a Snow map, Which consisted of their estimates of how much snow would fall.. A general 3"-6" or 5"-7" for Western CT and Many areas across NY and MA including the Hudson Valley and The Berkshires. On Saturday, Snow began falling across CT first in Litchfield and Fairfield Counties before transitioning from rain to Sleet/Mix in Central CT around 11am.. And then Full snow around 1130am. A quick inch fell and accumulated on Grassy Surfaces, Driveways... Immediate side Areas on roads (Curbs, Etc) and Roofs...etc. One last shot of Warm air pushed to the north forcing it to Transition back to Sleet/Rain in Central CT.. Making it accumulate ice across many roads and Areas, Roads became Near Impassible in some areas... Many accidents were reported Including Rollovers, In Farmington, CT a car flipped over into a ditch Due to the Slippery conditions. Many people planned for alot of snow in Western CT although they were shocked to not even see 3" of snow... Many areas saw an inch or maybe a coating (central and Western CT) and Other areas saw nothing to a coating of snow (Southeastern CT including the Immediate Shorelines of CT) Meteorologists at NEweather will begin Working on Snowfall Totals across CT and New England Tomorrow Morning and Publish them to public Sometime Late Tomorrow Morning, Or Early Afternoon Tomorrow!
